*NOTICE* Gas bills may be higher this month and in the coming months due to several factors.

1. Usage may be higher due to cold weather.
2. The customer charge and distribution charge both increased 7% starting with the March bills due to the increase of the Consumer Price Index.
3. The commodity charge, which is based on the market price for natural gas, has increased and is projected to continue to increase in the coming months. This is the amount that the Town of Kinder pays to purchase the gas that is then distributed to the customers.

We have no control over the price of gas but want our citizens to be prepared for the possibility of higher prices.
